Hello there my fellow colleagues, guess what! today is Sunday the start of a new week and I almost forgot to blog about what we have done in class so far. what stood out to me was the All About books, the easy structure to follow, in that it's four to five pages with each page focusing on one aspect and also the pictures being drawn on a specific part of the page. the discussion and brainstorming of ideas before the creation also stood out as it piques one's interest as to the fun things to come.
I was so excited that I even started sharing ideas with my staff at school to get the students involved in creating their own which will encourage them to write and engage in book-related activities. another aspect I enjoyed about the All About books is the sharing, I enjoyed reading about the children in one of my colleague's classes when she bought in samples, it was a form of encouragement and motivation to me to get my students involved as I could have felt the excitement on the pages as I engaged in reading.
I can't wait to read your blogs and all that you are looking forward to.
I am looking forward to more exciting, informative and thought-provoking materials from Mrs. L as she continues to make learning fun for us all.
until we meet again have a blessed week 😇😇
Yes! I definitely agree, the lesson on the "all about books" was quite a memorable and exciting one. After learning about the steps involved and understanding the methodology to teaching it, I remember Miss gave us the chance to create our own. Who ever thought it could be so exciting to write and draw pictures of yourself and your family? I had a blast, laughing at my attempts and wonky stick figures. Like you, I am anxious to share with my kids. I can already imagine the humorous jeers and cackling laughter when I present my proud moment. It's gonna be epic! However, as memorable as that lesson was, I felt deep down that descriptive writing took the cake for me.
ReplyDeleteEmilio boy, if you think the 'All About me' was interested for you. I wonder what it would be like for the students because they will be writing and drawing themselves. I know my students will be excited as well.
