Persuasive Writing continues

Hey, my fellow bloggers. Have you felt overworked lately? Well, I have, for the first time this semester felt lost, frustrated, and alone. I have not totally recovered from that state, however, there is no one to blog on my behalf so here goes.

We continued to look at persuasive writing and were placed in groups according to our topics while Mrs. Laz provided support and guidance to us. Some person's topics were approved during that session while others shared their topics, thesis statements, and supporting points to get positive feedback. The hook of the piece. Your stance and supporting details were all aspects of a persuasive piece that were reiterated.

Belfon and Lecia do hope you have some additional details to share that I may have neglected to input. Awaiting your response, I do hope you guys are in a better frame of mind than me.

  1. Have no fear Belfon is here. Remember, “smooth seas never make a good sailor”. Remain steadfast, and try with all you might to withstand the bellowing winds and roaring seas, though it may seem and feel unending hold strong to the notion that soon it will come to pass. Soon it will be an awesome memory you can share, that sculpted you into the person you will be tomorrow. Words of encouragement, “fuel in the tank” as they say.
On another note, in my opinion, you covered many of the main activities we covered during that timeline. What I really appreciated about the grouping was that we had the opportunity to touch on two areas of the writing workshop. Firstly, we shared with our group members, exchanging ideas, and getting feedback, along with varying perspectives. Secondly, was conferencing where our teacher circled the class visiting the various groups to scaffold and offer definitive feedback. In my opinion, the decisive feedback from the “LIT BOSS :)” is what ignites that flame to burn brighter and do better. Overall, I think that the week’s sessions were most effective.

    1. I concur with you Emilio, don't give up there is light at the end of the tunnel and the ''LIT BOSS'' getting you thinking during those visits, and if a question is asked and you do not understand another will quickly come but phrased differently.

  2. Thank you Belfon, for your words of encouragement, I can't help but smile as I read your post not dismissing the seriousness of the words. And yes these sessions of group work and conferencing are a really great way of checking in as students work and giving real time feedback.
